Ann Grant


Ann was born at Achnahannat in the Parish of Cromdale, Inveralan and Advie on 8 November 1820, the daughter of Alexander Grant, a handloom weaver, and Lillie Nairn Achnahannet She may have been the mother of Jane McPherson b.1846 She married Samuel Jack on 20 March 1851, in Rothes. from Derry, Ireland who was working as a day labourer Boharm in 1851. Samuel was with Ann when she died at 21 Berryhill Rows, Wishaw on 27 November 1872 at the age of 53.
